About The Artist

I cannot remember a time when, I was not creating something or other. Music was a big part of my life. Design and fabrication of jewelry kept me busy for many years. The studio/apt we have out back affectionately called “The Fort” allows me to work from home. It was an ideal environment for our children, Patrick and Sarah when they were young.
Today, now in my sixties, paint on canvas is my media of choice. Southwest landscapes, the subject of most efforts is comfortable for me. My West Texas upbringing influences every painting, grasses are always there, sometimes the low built structures we inhabit, the Southern Rockies and the staggered rim of the Llano Estacado. My aim is a balanced painting, with a composition that places no demands on the viewer. The craftsmanship, is in the stroke of a single #10 brush, the variety of color, weight and values of paint.
The common factor in all artistic efforts has been my awesome wife Barbara.
