This oil painting has a couple of compositional elements. The obvious S shape of the the river, large geometric shapes of cliffs with different values. This painting will be available in about two weeks after it finishes drying then a good varnish.

Rio Grande covers many hundreds of miles of terrain cutting it's way through geologic formations, as it flows north to south, west of the New Mexico Continental Divide. The price for this unframed painting is $200 if you are interest in purchasing contact me.

The High Road in Truchas, NM. This painting was done in oil after my demonstration in acrylics from last Saturdays demonstration at Ransom Canyon Studio. I took ideas from guests paintings and incorporated the elements into this work. Added a touch more perspective line in the back fence line and rearranged the distant light blue building.
